You think that this is fates way of telling you...

You clutch the ruined remains of the remote in your hand as Lauren is fiercely hugging you. "Oh god, I'm so sorry Mike. This wasn't supposed to happen. I mean I was going to turn you into a kid but only for the weekend. The remote was just a prototype. We couldn't make a new one even if we tried".

Lauren lets go of you and you can see that there are tears in her eyes. "It's okay", you say as you wipe away her tears with your little hand. "I always wondered what it would feel like to be a girl though I always imagined myself older. I'm sure you'll be a good mom. You will won't you?"

Lauren sobs and laughs at the same time. She hugs you again. "Of course I will, Mike. I love you so much".

"Hey! Hey! Is anyone going to change this diaper!"

You both look up at Katie sitting on the counter. "This is going to be awkward to explain", you say.

The next few days you try to adjust to your new life as Michelle. It's an odd experience being a toddler while still retaining your adult mind. Katie is an absolute terror when she discovers that she is stuck in her younger form permanently. You and Lauren have no idea what you are going to do with her.

By the time your first week as a girl goes by you find yourself not worrying about Katie. In fact you don't worry much about anything. The more time you spend in your new body the more you think like that body. You no longer feel weird being a girl. You don't don't even realize that you haven't always been a girl. Your intelligence also regresses to that of a two year old. Katie experiences a similar adjustment.

Two weeks after the remote incident, Lauren is left taking care of a pair of ordinary toddlers. On the one hand she is sad that for all purposes her boyfriend Mike no longer exists but on the other she now has what she always wanted. True to her word, Lauren is a great mother. She raises Michelle and Katie as sisters. When they get older she tells them about their father, Mike, and what a great man he was.

You go through life as girl. Lauren makes sure you to a great college and you meet the man of your dreams. Your marry him and have a son whom you name Mike after yourself though you think you are honoring your father. Lauren is thrilled to be a grandmother and you enjoy the rest of your life.
