"...And if we were to start making out right here—and she saw us—she'd get a kick out of it," Ted broached. He grinned, then chuckled, " she might even join in!"

Of all the things you'd imagined - or feared - might happen after this move to California, being propositioned for a three-way with a handsome California dude and his (undoubtably beautiful) California girlfriend was NOT one of them, so you sit, transfixed, for a full minute. Ted is looking at you with longing as well as friendship, and your brain is racing, yet nothing cogent is coming out.
