"Look, I really do want to welcome you," Perry continued. "Can I invite you over to our pool to cool off?"
"Sure, but let me help Dad unload a bit more first," you respond.
"OK, I'll help," says Perry, and the two of you trundle out to the truck.
With two fat boys helping, the truck is soon empty, and you tell your Dad about Perry's invite. "Sure," he says, "I'm going to sit for a bit, then set up the kitchen. Be back by 6, we'll go get supper."
"Thanks Dad!" you say, and rummage in a suitcase for swim trunks. They're old, and therefore a bit small, but swimming pools were not places you frequented in Chicago, not at your size.
You walk with Perry the few minutes to his house, where he takes you in through the pool gate, then calls into the house. On the walk, he texted a couple of friends, too, and so you're looking forward - sort of - to meeting some new people. You head into the little pool cabana to change, and the swims trunks barely go up over your butt - and they are strainingly tight.
You come out to find Perry in a magnificent set of enormous Hawaiian trunks, yellow and covered in flowers, that look loose on his substantial girth. He looks at you and says, "Do you want bigger trunks? There's a spare set in the cabana that should fit you!" You head back in and yes, hanging up is another huge pair of Hawaiian trunks, these ones in blue with palm fronds on them. You pull them on and, wonder of wonders, you have to pull on the drawstring to get them tight enough! Is Perry that much bigger than you are? You hear voices and come out to see several people around the pool - one looks like Perry, only older, and...
