Chapter #4

Make the first move

You're mesmerized. It's as simple as that. Whether it's because it's so unreal, so bizarre, or because she's so beautif- what? No! She's a Godzilla-sized anthropomorphic Eevee in the middle of a city! You haven't got any clue what's happening! You need to run away fast!

So, naturally, you walk towards her calmly, mouth slightly agape.

When you reach her, she's still trying to convince the fleeing crowds to stay and help.
"Hey, seriously! This is so mean..."
She watches the last citizen in the immediate area run off into an alleyway and sighs heavily. With a pout, she leans against a nearby skyscraper, causing it to bend and creak immediately. She rapidly withdraws with a gasp of "Oops! Sorry!" Sighing again, she lays down and stretches her legs out down the street, resting one hand on her knee and another on a car behind her. With another apology, she shakes the flat husk of metal off and (more carefully) places her fingers on the sidewalk.
"Geez... this sucks. What am I supposed to do now?"

Now that her upper body is closer to the ground, you take a better look at it while paying no heed to the frantic urgings of your mind to make yourself scarce. She looks like she's in her late teens or early twenties, judging by her well-developed body and fresh, youthful appearance. Her hair is long and smooth, plentiful enough to splay out several dozen feet on the ground behind her as she sits. She's already almost crushed a building and actually crushed a car, but her face looks rather intelligent- maybe she's just a little careless? She's probably just not used to this sort of situation, that's all.
Your brain takes this opportunity to remind you that the 'situation' is that she's roughly twenty stories tall. You ignore it again and walk up to her massive sandaled foot. After a brief pause, you poke her furry ankle gently. After a slightly longer pause, you knock on it like you would a door.

That seemed to have gotten her attention, at least. She glanced in your general direction with a confused look, then shrugged and returned to pouting. You quickly knocked again and shouted as loud as you could.
"HELLO?"
The Eevee girl jumped several feet (although that wasn't very much given her size), tossing you to the ground.
"Whoa! Who's there?!"
You gingerly rubbed your backside as you stood up. It was hard to stand with so much wind. Wind?
Turning, you saw her massive face looming feet away, gentle breath flowing over you.
"Oh, hey. Sorry. Didn't mean to... uh... shake you. I just thought everyone had run away already."
Big! Mouth! Jaws! Claws! Danger! Run!
"I think everyone else did, yeah. Don't worry about it."
"Can you believe it? It's obvious I'm in some kind of trouble here, but what happens? Everyone just runs off!"
Upset giant Pokewoman! Escape!

Shaking your head to silence it, you smile and hold out a hand.
"On behalf of the city, I'd like to apologize for the cold reception. I think they were just a bit intimidated, but that's really no excuse."
The Eevee girl extended a huge finger and let her clawtip rest in your palm for a rather bizarre form of handshake.
"Thanks, but what do you mean by intimid- ..." The Eevee looked at you in shock for a moment. "Oooo-h. Oh, wow." She lay her head sideways on the ground and gently rested a finger on your head, evaluating your height. "... Yeeeee-ah. That explains a bit, I think. I guess I must look kinda scary like this." She glanced at her claws with chagrin. You simultaneously noted that each was easily large enough to shred a truck in half, and that each was painted with cute nail polish.
"Er... you hadn't noticed you were so big?"
She ran a hand through her thick brown hair, knocking a few strands over her left eye. "Are you kidding? Of course I did! I just... didn't think I'd be that scary. I figured my natural cuteness would balance out the size." The phrase 'natural cuteness' was accompanied by a kiss blown on her fingertips and a giant wink.
