Something stops Amanda in the nick of time

Matt continued to scream at his sister's gigantic friend as he was greeted by a blast of her warm, humid breath as the chip moved to within inches of disappearing into her mouth. He, a teenage genius, was about to be devoured unknowingly by his own sister's best friend.

"Not like this!" He squeaked as the chip started to enter her mouth.

"HEY AMANDA, WAIT A SECOND!" Came the voice of Kellie from outside the mouth.

Matt's tiny head spun rapidly as Amanda pulled the chip out of her mouth and held it in front of her.

"WHAT?" Amanda said, clearly annoyed.

"WELL, I THOUGHT MAYBE WE'D GO FOR SOME ICE CREAM. FIGURED YOU'D WANT TO SAVE THE ROOM, YA KNOW?"

Matt could sing, if not for the fact that he was still stuck fast to the chip, held tight by the gob of dip. He had come very close to being reduced to a snack for a teenage girl. But his sister had saved his life and never known it.

"THAT SOUNDS GOOD, BUT WHAT DO YOU SUPPOSE I DO WITH THIS?" Amanda said, holding up the chip a little and causing Matt's stomach to lurch.

"I DON'T KNOW, FINISH IT IF YOU WANT! OR JUST THROW IT AWAY!"

Matt knew it was all too easy. And now he had even more problems as he looked up to Amanda's billboard-sized face. She contemplated the the chip, not noticing the tiny passenger whose life she held in the balance.
