Ray palmer wanted to enlist the help of superman when he noticed a pair of black socks on the floor, and as he shrunk unnoticed onto lex's black shoes, he witnessed the shrinking of clark and lex.

As he neared the black socks while only 6 inches tall, he noticed that lex and clark were shrunk smaller than he expected ; barely 1/2 inches tall.

He walked onto the black socks and held onto both lex and clark, shrinking them down to about 4millimetres tall, small enough to fit inside his belt compartment.
