Test the urban myth: Pop Rocks and Soda...

“So, any ideas about how to do it?” asked Rika, looking at her partner. Renamon put a finger to her chin and thought hard.

“What about a simple air pump?” she inquired. Rika thought for a moment and then shook her head.

“Naw, that’s too easy. I want to try it in a more…interesting way. Besides, plain air wouldn’t be any fun.” She explained. Renamon nodded in agreement, also wanting to try a more interesting way to inflate. Then an idea popped into her head.

“What about drinking soda and then shaking our bodies. Doesn’t soda form gas bubbles when it is shaken?” asked Renamon.

Rika nodded at the question, “Yeah, soda does cause gas when it’s shaken up, but it would take a hell of a lot of cans to get the results we want,” she said, “I once drank an entire six pack of coke in one sitting and all that happened was that I had to go to the bathroom a whole bunch.”

Renamon chuckled a little at that last comment. Rika gave a little giggle and then resumed thinking. Renamon’s question had reminded her of an experience she had had once.

“Soda by itself won’t do, but I think I know of something that can help. Wait here, I’ve got some shopping to do.” She announced. She quickly grabbed her purse and ran out the door before Renamon could blink.

Renamon scratched her head at her partner’s sudden takeoff. “I wonder what she’s after?” muttered Renamon.
