Chapter #5
Enter Azreal: the hitchhiker
by: Unknown
Oh, God, I thought, please make this dude stop and pull over. I'd been walking around for hours, following 'roads' that were really glorified flattened paths of grass and weeds. Alicia's Plymouth Fury wouldn't start, and I, being the brave one, said, "I'll go out and look for like, a lodge or something."
That was, of course, before the major storm hit me and I got lost. So if this guy doesn't pull over, I'm boned.
Nice car, I thought, as he sped by me as though he didn't noticed the soaked and pathetic looking creature that was me.
I was about to give up when I saw light from a far off cabin through the thick rain and wind. Far off in my mind, the little violin twang of that movie "Deliverance" played, but I'd take the risk of being...would I take that risk?
