As Isabelle and Daniel walked into the village and looked around they couldn't find anyone. It was as if everyone had suddenly vanished in the middle of whatever they were all doing.
It wasn't until they reached the village square that either of them said a word, "Well, Isabelle," Daniel said. "I guess we should probably set up camp, it will be dark..." He suddenly stopped for seemingly no reason.
"What is it Daniel?" Isabelle was getting increasingly worried, but she knew that Daniel would protect her. Besides, she knew how to defend herself. She had been helping Daniel train to become a knight for years and was very skilled at using a sword, although she was much better at a bow and arrow.
Suddenly Daniel pushed Isabelle aside and jumped infront of her. Before she even saw what was happening she heard the sounds of steel on steel. She stood with her back towards Daniel as more and more villagers began coming out of nowhere to attack them. As a villager lunged at her with his sword poised to strike she ducked out of the way and kicked his sword out of his hand. She looked for Daniel and saw him fighting several other villagers and knew that she would have to fight. So as another villager charged at her Isabelle dove for the fallen sword, grabbed it, and before she could even rise to her feet she turned around bringing the sword above her head to deflect the sword looming down upon her. His and her sword met in a loud crash of steel on steel. She quickly leapt to her feet to fight off the now numerous villagers closing in on her.
Daniel and Isabelle continued to fight valiantly and were now back to back and completely surrounded when a very comanding voice rang throughout the village ceasing the battle. A pathway through the villagers formed to let the person whose voice comanded so much respect pass through. As the person came into view Daniel and Isabelle were suprised to see...
