The woman was old, her skin wrinkled and knarled as tree bark. She looked from the boy to the girl and then she laughed, a long, grating chuckle. When she was finished she smiled an annoyingly amused smile at Isabelle and said "Little princess, I have never met anyone so daring in my life, but I must say, you are the most ignorant person I have ever met also!"
Isabelle's eyes narrowed. She could feel a million nasty things to say bursting into her mouth, and was about to open it and release them all when she saw Daniel glaring at her. She quickly swallowed them again.
"Forgive me, old woman." She said to her "But I do not understand."
The woman's smirk dissapeared suddenly, along with her amused demeanor.
"No." she snapped "No you don't. But you will learn, little princess, you will learn."
She eyed Isabelle a moment longer and then said "Forgive my people, Princess, we thought you were bandits. Follow me and I will I bring you to a place of lodging where you may stay the night."
