After a little consideration your curiosity peaks at the thought a room filled with different inventions. Cautiously you grasp and turn the handle to the invention room but before you open the door a shimmer flashes in your peripheral vision.
"Thats odd" you remark.
As you turn to look, another door now rests at the end of the hallway where there once was a dead end. The door, somewhat larger and more ornate than the others, is unmarked. With an almost regretful glance at the invention room you succumb to your intrigue and swing the new door wide open. Endlessly deep shadows greet you on the other side. With determination and a desire to see if you did indeed make the correct door choice you charge into pitch shutting the door behind you.
Your world aptly fades to darkness causing you to jump slightly. Reaching in your pocket you flip open your cheap cellphone and light up what you now see to be a slick tile floor in front of you. With phone in hand and light at feet you begin to take a few timid strides forward. The unsteady rhythm of your footsteps echoes ominously through what sounds like a very wide hallway though no matter how hard you strain your eyes you cant see the walls.
"Well this is a complete bust." You mumble to yourself. "looks like I should have gone into the invention room after all."
You turn back to the door, now only a distant yellow square from where the outside lights are seeping into your dark hallway, and take your first step back.
As you do massive spot lights begin to click and whir to life. Each one shining down on pedestals lining both sides of the hallway and each bearing a different object. The lights continue to activate illuminating more objects further and further down the hallway beyond your ability to see.
The pedestals nearest to you hold a mask bearing the likeness of a geisha, a small clay doll with an unsettling resemblance to yours truly resting on a small book, and a medicine bottle holding small round pills labeled the "miracle" pill.
