Of course, Joseph had suggested going out for food because he knew his sister well - anytime she could eat, all other worries would be discarded - that's how she'd gotten to 400 pounds at sweet 16.
Not that Joseph didn't like to eat, though - he wasn't much of an athlete, and the quiz show team, making great marks and food were the three pillars of his life. He liked to eat, and it showed - he was pushing 300 pounds himself, or so he thought...well, back in September he'd been pushing 300 pounds, a term of sitting and studying had pushed him over the 300 mark now.
"Great idea!" Hillary replied. "You driving?"
"Sure!" said Joseph, whose car had been a reward from his parents for pulling off straight As last year. Of course, getting to drive everywhere instead of biking or busing had done only positive things for his weight too. He grabbed a jacket, while his sister grabbed hers - pale pink, of course, and size 4XL - and the two of them headed out the door, the combination of their bulk making the stairs shake a little.
"So, where to, 'little' sister?" Joseph asked. He grinned as Hillary landed one pudgy hand into his padded midriff.
