Wendy goes to the hall closet. There she has sheets and bed linen. She selects several pieces and hands them to Peter. "If you're going to stay here your going to need these."
Peter is about to thank her when both Wendy and Peter hear a noise coming from the children's bedrooms upstairs.
"I thought you said they were asleep?" Wendy asks.
"They are. I mean they were."
Suddenly Peter Leaps forward and races to the stairs. "That's not the children." He says and begins running up the stairs.
Wendy at first watches Peter take two steps at a time as he runs up the stairs. He practically looked as if he flew, that's how quickly he disappeared.
Wendy once realizing that there's a problem begins to ascend the stairs, but she's nowhere as fast as Peter.
She reaches Brooke's room first, just as she's about to enter Peter darts out the door and into Michael's. Wendy walks into Brooke's room.
Clothing, sheets and toys are scattered everywhere. White stuffing from her little girl's pillow is softly floating from the torn pillow resting on top of the open closet door.
Wendy is worried. Where is her daughter? Then she quickly thinks, what about Michael.
She rushes out of the disheveled room and across the hall to her little boy's bedroom.
His room is upset and trashed the same as his sister's and Wendy sees that neither child is present. Peter is in the far corner of the room by the window with something cupped in his hand.
