You watch Mike shovel pasta into his mouth. He's ravenous, piling his plate high with food. He goes in for seconds and then thirds. You wish you could eat like that, because maybe then you wouldn't be so thin. Mike notices you staring and shoots you a knowing smile. He reaches over and gives your stomach a few pats.
"Eat up baby bro."
With that you start to plow into your food. You barely come up for air, you shove it all in. You don't think about it, you just eat freely-you just EAT without a care. Luckily mom has prepared a feast tonight and you can go in for a third plate. Dad looks impressed.
"You must be hungry little man."
In between bites you manage to reply; "yeah" but your thought are cut off by a quiet belch.
Mike teases; "If he keeps this up, this kid will be looking more like me." He nudges your swollen bloat and pinches at a slight love handle.
"Who knows," you say, moving on to a fourth plate, "I've been getting too thin lately, I need to keep my weight up or I'll waste away."
Mom chimes in concerned. "That's fine, but don't go overboard." Dad puts in his two-sense. "Nonsense, he wants to gain a few pounds, I think it will be good for him. A boy can't be too thin."
Mike is beaming. "You got more then a few pounds ahead of you if you want real size." You turn to your big brother.
"I'll do whatever it takes."
Mike stops eating and looks you over. He speaks quietly so mom and dad, who are now engaged in a new conversation, don't hear. "See me after dinner bro." You nod and return to dinner, grabbing an extra helping to prove to Mike that you are serious.
