The next day you're woken up by the soft voice of your Mom and her hand running through your hair. You slowly raise out of bed and get changed into your dressy black shorts and a nice dark blue polo shirt. 'A little professional looking,' you think to yourself and head downstairs and join your parents for a bowl of cereal.
"So you're going to be Mommy's little assistant," says your Dad in a joking tone," sure you don't want to go back being an assistant for the Coach?"
"I'm sure," you answer quickly.
"Robert," your Mom snaps giving your Dad a slap on the back of his head," don't tease (insert your name here) for working for me."
"I'm sorry dear," your Dad apologizes. Your Dad maybe twice, or even three, times the size of your Mom, but he knows who's boss.
After breakfast you all pile on into your parent's tan colored SUV and head downtown to the skyscraper where they work at.
You follow your Mom up to the 5th floor and head down to her office and she gives you the tour. You've been on the tour a few times before, but it changes ever so slightly each year.
Your Mom then gives you an assignment to work the front desk for her, which isn't too tough. Transferring calls, saying "Hi" to people as they come in and photocopying and playing Solitaire on the computer.
By the end of the day you're board stiff. There's no one your age to chat to. The other assistant down the hall is probably 50 years old and is like a librarian. You did get a few belly sightings for inspiration. You think it's kind of silly how many people are wearing some many tight dress up shirts and you wonder if that's your Dad's effect.
During the day you also think, the Wishing Powder is that much closer to your grasp. In a week or so you'll get paid and then you'll have enough money to buy the Wishing Powder.
