Work at Swizzle's was pretty basic: all you had to do was move boxes around in the back of his store. He was reorganizing his stores, and you had been a big help for him, so he paid you ten bucks, which automatically went went to pay off your debt that you owed to the mall troll.
It was 7:30, only a hour had passed since you left home. In your driveway you saw your parent's car, but you weren't worried that you would get into trouble for staying out late; you had already called them earlier and told them where you were and what you have been doing, and they were completely fine with it.
You went into your home. There was the smell of food being cooked and you heard the TV from the living-room. Your mom was making dinner and your dad was watching his evening shows.
"I'm back," you said, announcing your presence.
"O, hey there, (IYNH)," said dad, "How was your part time job?"
"Okay," you answered. "But where's Mike?" you suddenly asked, realizing that he wasn't anywhere in the house, and it would be impossible that he was still sleeping upstairs. You also saw that his truck wasn't in the driveway outside.
"He went out," said dad, "Something that he's gonna visit a friend. Why?"
You suddenly began to feel a little nervous. What if he discovered the powder and took it? But that idea was just plain daft; he wouldn't even know what the thing was.
But still, you had to check his room to be safe. With a, "Just wanted to know. Thanks, dad," you headed upstairs to his room and began to search his drawer where you last left the powder.
