Chapter #5

Gum scrapped, Eric trashed?

    by: Sage Author IconMail Icon
Looking around Sam finally found what he was looking for, a bench sitting at the edge of the grass. Walking over to it he sat down and began to stretch his leg, bringing it over his other knee so that he was staring at the sole. The effort he was forced to use was great, and he grunted with the exertion, but at last Sam was staring at the sole of his shoe, and more importantly the piece of gum that had gotten itself stuck there.

Sam, staring at the gum, did a double take, and had to wipe his eyes and shake his head to clear away the mist that obviously was fogging up his mind. He'd though for a moment, just a moment, that something under the gum had moved. What's more it had not only moved, showing that it was alive, but he had thought it looked human. Chuckling at the image a little Sam rummaged through his pocket before pulling out a coin, and then began scrapping at the pink, sticky gum under which Eric was still trapped.

Eric by this time was just begin to recollect his wits from the horrific roller coaster ride he'd just been through. A ride that seemed to have at last come to an end, and then become a jerking affair in which he was raised much higher than he had been when Sam was walking. Looking past the gum Eric found that he was staring right into Sam's face, and tried his best to move, shout, or in some way make his presence known.

All he managed to do though was wave his arm a little and emit a pathetic squeak, things which the titan dismissed as his overactive imagination. Without much hope Eric watched the titan turn away, and felt the bounces as he obviously dug in his pocket for something. The something became obvious when Eric saw a shadow pass over him, and looked up at the giant face of an Native American woman cast in gold and with a small, well small to normal people anyway, year 2000 stamp next to her.

Eric once again begins screaming and yelling, but over the natural sounds of the outside world, the chirping of birds, the soft crush of grass under the hooves of a deer, and the sweet rustle of wind through the trees(Ok in all reality it was the honking horns and cars passing by that drowned him out more, but I'm trying to be a naturalist here), his voice was just another meaningless babel to the titan, who began to pull at the gum, ripping it off his shoe.

Eric then saw an opportunity. If he was quick enough he could grab the coin just after it got the gum off him, then Sam was sure to notice him. Of course he might just slap him like a bug, crushing is tiny, vulnerable body. It might be safer to just get thrown away with the gum and try someone else. Looking back at the coin Eric makes his decision. He...

You have the following choices:

1. Grabs the coin and holds on for his life

*Pen*
2. Just let's the titan toss him away with the gum

*Pen* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
