Now You've Made Him Angry!

"Yeah. I'm sure we can do each other a favor," Scott said, trying to think fast. "Uh, that's why I stopped by here."

Six-inch-tall Eric squirmed in the giant's grip, trying to gain a little space in the giant fist. "I don't think I follow you."

"It's my grade in your class," Scott explained. "I need you to give me a break. I could lose my scholarship."

"But I can't do that," Eric said too quickly, his rigid line of thinking as an instructor kicking into gear.

"You get shrunk by your own invention, ask me for help and still won't do me one freakin' favor!" Scott said, too loudly.

Eric winced from the volume of Scott's angry voice. "It wouldn't be right," he said in what he hoped might be a reasonable tone.

"I can't believe what I'm hearing," Scott said, unconsciously increasing his grip around his tiny professor.

Eric grunted from the vise-like grip. "Be careful, please."

"You're smaller than a prick!" Scott shouted. "Forget it! You don't want to do me any favors, fine! But don't count on getting back to normal."

Scott strode toward the lab's exit.

"Stop! Scott, what are you doing? Where are we going?" Eric demanded in his high, squeaky voice.

Scott ignored him and...
