Roshi was about to start relating the story of the flask to those listening said when he was interrupted by a loud roar, emanating from 18's belly. In response to this demand, 18 strode over to the refrigerator, threw open the door and searched for something to eat. Finding only a few cartons of leftover Chinese food, she grabbed them and hurried toward the front door, finishing the leftovers on the way.
"18," Krillen said, following his wife outside, "honey, dearest, where are you going?"
18 didn't acknowledge her husband's questions or even his presence but simply took off as fast as she could, quickly disappearing from sight. Krillen, still somewhat in shock from the days events, didn't even react until she was out of sight, and being an android, he couldn't track her energy.
"What just happened?" Oolong asked as he, Roshi, and Marron joined the ex-monk on the beach.
"She just flew off," Krillen said, turning back to face the others. "Master Roshi, what is going on here?"
"It's the power of the bottle's curse," Roshi said, shaking his head. "She's gone in search for more food. It's just our luck that today would be grocery day."
"What do we do now?" Oolong asked, scratching his head. "And I still want to know what is up with the bottle."
"We go after her of course," Roshi said, pulling a capsule from his pocket. We pushed the button and it turned into a plane in a puff of smoke. "The only question is if we should go together or split up to cover more ground. Krillen, she's your wife, so you get to pick."
"I think we should," Krillen began.
