"Like what I did to your mother?" says the crone, even though she is nowhere in sight.

"Why are you doing this?" you mutter, hoping that no one will hear you. With your father and the rest of the family distracted, however, this probably won't happen.

"This is payback for what you've done!" says the crone. "Oh, and one other thing I should mention..."
