Mike remained indecisive and cowering in the
presence of the two giants.
He needed help to regain his size. He knew he must
contact someone. Did it really matter who he
chose?
He rushed toward the dorm monitor, waving his
hands above his head, screaming as loud as he
could. "Help! Hey, help! On the floor! Dammit,
look down!"
He felt he was trapped in a slow-motion nightmare.
He continued to run across the tiles, screaming at
the giants.
And, suddenly, the dorm monitor did glance down.
"Oh, gross," he remarked. "There's a disgusting
bug now!"
"Where?" The exterminator asked.
The monitor pointed down in the direction of
Mike's desperate sprint across the tile.
Mike froze when he saw the exterminator's enormous
boot lift. "No!" Mike screamed. "I'm not a bug!"
The boot slammed down on Mike making a
surprisingly loud splat and crushing him in an
instant. "That's one down," the guy remarked.
The monitor frowned in distaste. "Well, I'm sure
you can deal with whatever you find. I'm late."
The exterminator hoisted the tank and began to
spray for other bugs.
