Delaying in innevitable

You decide that it's not worth risking your pokemon, not to mention you life for the Meowth and start to walk away slowly, however the Meowth sees you backing away and starts to approach you, so you break out into an all out run to avoid it, however you have the feeling that you cannot out-run it forever, cats are renouned for being fast, so what should be your next course of action?

You have the following choices:

1. Hide in some nearby bushes

2. continue running, this Meowth seems a little fat
