While you hide behind the dusty volumes you realise the error of your ways. Maybe you could flee, hide under the bookcase instead where giant paws would have a harder time finiding you. Maybe you could-
"I don't know who your trying to fool little one," A deep voice rumbles from across the room, "I saw you duck in there, and I'm not in the mood for a game of cat and mouse" He pauses before adding, "I doubt any of those are small enough for you to read anyways".
You bite on your tongue to keep from shouting anything out at him. You'd gladly call him off at a moments notice right now, only when one meddels in the affairs of giants it's not wise to call the bigger man anything but 'sir'. You slouch down in the darkness and curse your fowl luck. Trapped in a giant's study is by no means an adventure, and after being in here for less then a minute your very much bored of it. Where's the fair maiden in distress, the stockpiles of gold? All you have is a savage beast, who by no means appears savage, and even so could swat you like a fly. There must be more, somehow you must be the hero to walk away victorious. However you'll have to wait for your captor to make the first move.
