Songs of sleep and survival

As tempting as it may be to study the rose's reason for appearance, she settled with the idea of it just being a small compliment of the tavern's. Dauphin reluctantly ventured onto the solid structure the owner called a bed.

"They ought to just call it a rock," she mumbled under her soft, slowing breath. As she was dozing off, a soft crooning from the trolls floated through her room.

"May we survive
May we endure
May our lives
Be ever pure
Thank the creator
For what he has given
Is it just fate, or
Is life just graven
May we survive...."
