Dead or alive

Dauphin could feel the agonising pain in her head, but when she tried to move realised she was bound. She was a prisoner!

From the snatches of conversation she could just start to make out, she was obviously not a prisoner at the palace or any prison building yet. She had probably been picked up by a group of guards, but if she did not find a way to escape soon there was no doubt she would soon be under far too heavy a guard to dare attempt it.
