Too close for comfort

There's bravery and there's stupidity. Dauphin could see the sheer quantity of attackers and knew she would be straight in the firing line at the gates - there was no option but to run. Hopefully the attackers would be more concerned with gaining entry than with a wanderer like her.

As she started to run however, she could see the futility of her attempt. The area was surrounded and her chances looked very slim.
