The Beautiful Queen

"It is a spy, meant to enter our cities and eavesdrop on our defences. I must say, they are clever."

The blue robed woman bent down and picked up one of the charred remains. "Although they must have forgotten that the guiggens used to spy aren't exactly waterproof."

The woman started to chuckle. She looked at the girl and smiled. "My name is Queen Elflaed, I grant you safe passage though my city."

The girl couldn't help but smile, it was impossible not to feel happy and fearless while the queen looked at her. Her eyes were as green as blades of grass in the morning dew, her wavy red hair lay lightly in the air, it looked as if it wasn't even affected by the pouring rain. The girl finally managed to speak after several seconds, "Yes, thank you, your majesty."
