The girl sloshed through the city streets, her clothes getting ever heavier with the water they were accumulating. Her breath came short and fast, not only from her running but also from fear. Her faelan trotted alongside her, easilly keeping up. It nudged its head gently against Dauphin's arm. The girl flinched then turned around.
"Oh Yakul, I almost forgot about you!" She said laughing nervously. Yakul brayed quietly and Dauphin nodded as if understanding.
In one swift movement she mounted the creature taking off at thrice the speed she was running at. The wind whipped at her hood and sodden hair, slapping it against her lightly tanned skin. But she did not care, so long as she stayed far away from... them.
After a few minutes they had already reached the other side of the city. Dauphin slipped off looking rather battered. She looked around herself at the still standing buildings pondering her next move.
KA-BANG!!!
A sharp green explosion erupted some distance off, taking many innocent lives and homes. Dauphin gritted her teeth then tore herself away from the sight. She jogged forward a few paces and saw what she was looking for, a herbal shop. Signalling Yakul they entered the building, their nostrils immediately filled with assorted herbal scents. It was actually rather pleasant.
A door near the back of the shop opened with a slam and an old man hopped out with the energy of a child. He saw his visitor and his eyes widened.
