A place for the night

"My lady, wait," Sir Eltoon called after Dauphin. "Lord Varoon would never forgive me if I were to let you travel on your own in the darkness."

"Lord Varoon knows I am more than capable of looking after myself," Dauphin replied. Why could he not get the hint and leave her alone?

"Nonetheless it is a basic courtesy that would be expected," Eltoon insisted. "May I ask where you are headed?"

"To find an inn for the night."

"An inn! They are all booked out. Too many refugees in the city. But I have lodgings here, where you may stay if you wish. They are very spacious, plenty of room for guests."
