Inside the City

With a smile, Dauphin and her steed were walking along the main street of the city. Immediately she was able to see how many refugees from the north the city had attracted. A lot of goblins, thin, ugly creatures stood huddled around a pitiul fire in front of a store. Once, she even thought she spied the ethereal beauty of an elf but the crowd began to thicken as the day wore on and she shook her head of fanciful thoughts.

"What should I do first?" she wondered absently, reaching the crossroads. "Shall I find the nearest inn or go immediately to the king and offer my services?"
