The main priority, of course, was finding somewhere for the faelan. Riding in bad weather is comparitively easy for the rider as opposed to the animal, and she needed rest. Following the main pathway the girl lead the faelan. It was tired enough already without having to take her weight as well, as they had been travelling nearly flat out for several days.
A good stable was required. Faelans were ridiculously expensive, and anywhere disreputable might make the move to steal the creature rather than looking after it. It would be their mistake of course, as faelans are notoriously untrustworthy of strangers and likely to take the head off any fool who dared to come too near.
"Nearly there girl, nearly there."
Anyone watching the girl would be suprised that for one who had never been to the city she unerringly was heading in the direction of the best stables in town. Without map or directions, her mind had already worked out the route. Indeed you might be tempted to think either she had previously studied the city in great depth or there was a little bit of magic going on here....
