Their weakness is their doom

The rider stopped and looked at his forces once more.

"Destroy the city," he said, voice cold as ice.

"But they handed me over to you!" Dauphin exclaimed, watching helplessly as the warriors moved back towards the city gates.

"They are weak. I would have respected them more if they had kept you. In showing their weakness they have sealed their doom," the rider responded, carelessly moving away with Dauphin, his captive, left with no choice but to follow.
