On a mission

Turning, Dauphin faced one of the guards. There was no fear in either of their expressions, as hers was of supreme confidence and his was more of awe than of fear.

"I have been ordered to escort you to the palace," he said with as much confidence as he could muster.

"Lead the way then," Dauphin replied and giving him no chance to speak any more strode purposefully toward the palace, causing the guard to almost have to run to take the lead.
