Chapter #4

Dauphin vs Delpheus

Delpheus headed the troops back to Cardac with Dauphin and her faelan in tow.
Halfway there, Dauphin awakes and sees her brother.
"Delpheus? what happened? did we win?"
"no..i called for a retreat. we're heading home."

Dauphin stood in a rage. She yelled out for a halt, which they obeyed.
" A retreat? we were so close...why would you retreat?"

"it was something i had to do. you were out of control sister."
Dauphin stared at her brother.
" it was you....you knocked me out...didn't you?"

Delpheus nodded.
Dauphin knocked him in the jaw, sending him spiraling backwards.
" We were so close. How could you do that?"

"sister, listen to me...i am a peaceful man. i want peace for all the kingdoms. you, however, want to dominate them all. You've gotten worse since the family died."
" shut up! what do you know? i'm going back and finishing what we started."

Dauphin walks over to the troops...but is intercepted by Delpheus.
" i can't let you do that."
" Delpheus...you going to try and stop me? You think you can?"

Delpheus lowers his head.
" you can go back...but not with anyone here. We're going home...and i will tell the king and courts what you've been doing."
Dauphin glared at him.
"if you leave now, you avoid future punishment, but we are enemies from then on. If you surrender your hate and come back with us, i promise that i will do everything i can to help you."

Delpheus looks at Dauphin.
" what is your decision?"
