After passing out, you wake up in a giant dorm.

Chapter #1

The living room

    by: Tinymannn Author IconMail Icon
In the sprawling halls of Titan’s Reach University, a college built for giants, James, a 6’5” sophomore, navigated life with a mix of quiet confidence and shy hesitation. The campus was a marvel of scale, with towering dorms and lecture halls designed for students who dwarfed ordinary humans. James, lanky and soft-spoken, was still finding his place among peers who loomed even larger, some reaching 10 feet or more. His dorm room in Behemoth Hall was a cozy sanctuary, shared with a boisterous roommate named Theo, who was currently out at a late-night study session.

Meanwhile, in a hidden world beneath the giants’ notice, Dylan, a 1.5-inch-tall student from a tiny civilization, scurried through the shadows of Behemoth Hall. His people lived in secret, their tiny enclaves tucked into the crevices of the giant world. Dylan, curious and a bit reckless, had ventured into the dorm hallway to explore, drawn by rumors of a giant library with books the size of houses. As he crept past James’s door, a strange, acrid smell hit him—something chemical, sharp, and dizzying. His tiny lungs couldn’t handle it. The world spun, and Dylan collapsed near the doorframe, unconscious.

When Dylan awoke, he was no longer in the hallway. He lay on a soft, uneven surface—a giant’s discarded sock, he realized with a shudder. Towering furniture surrounded him: a couch the size of a city block, a coffee table like a plateau. He was in a living area, a common room connecting two dorm suites. To his left, a door loomed, slightly ajar, revealing a sliver of a messy room with posters and a desk piled with books. To his right, another door stood closed. The chemical smell lingered faintly, but Dylan’s head was clearing. He was alive—but stranded in a giant’s domain.

Unbeknownst to Dylan, the smell came from a spilled energy drink on living room table, knocked over during a late-night study cram. The fumes, harmless to giants, were potent to Dylan’s tiny frame. James, oblivious to the tiny intruder, was in his room to the left, headphones on, scribbling notes for a history exam. Theo, in the suite to the right, was still out, leaving the common area empty. Dylan, too small to be noticed, crouched in the shadow of the sock, heart pounding. He needed to find a way back to the hallway, but the vast room felt like a canyon, and the giants’ doors were portals to unknown dangers.

Dylan’s eyes darted between the doors. The left one—James’s—seemed quieter, safer. The right one quiet. He could try to slip under James’s door, but what if the giant stepped on him? Or he could wait, hoping for a chance to explore unnoticed. His tiny hands clenched. He’d come to Titan’s Reach for adventure, but this was more than he’d bargained for. For now, he stayed hidden, plotting his next move, while James, unaware, turned a page in his textbook, and the giant world rumbled on around them.
