It was a true breakthrough in technology; teleportation. No “creating an exact clone and killing the original” nonsense; it was full, instant displacement of matter from one space to another. It was time for the first anthro test of group teleportation. A small group of anthros were going to be sent to another location just a few feet away. It was nerve wracking for certain, but not too much; single person teleportation had been perfected, the group of 5 simply had to stand there and wait for it to happen and report any side effects.
That was until an error happened. No one knew what it was, but when the test group disappeared, they never reappeared. The group remaining at the testing site was panicked; everything indicated that the teleportation was successful, but where were the test subjects? Had they been teleported somewhere else on the planet?
As panicked as the group controlling the teleportation was, the test subjects were terrified. They were warped somewhere that clearly wasn’t where they were meant to be. There was no distortion or dizziness; within an instant, they were warped from the control site to somewhere completely unknown. The only thing they did know was that everything around them was massive. It was a setting that was instantly recognizable to the world they knew, but on a completely massive scale.
“Did it… shrink us?” a canine man asked. “Where on Earth did it bring us to?”
They noticed a lumbering titan in the distance; one that had arms, legs, a torso and head like them, but with no fur. It wore clothes like they did but its head was a strange ovular shape. Every step the creature took caused vibrations that shook the test crew to their cores. How could something so large exist?
“W-what is that thing?” a cat woman stuttered.
“I don’t know, it’s like nothing I’ve seen or heard of,” a doe responded. “It’s almost like us, but… so different. Is it an alien?” The fact that everything seemed so similar to their home world beyond these titanic creatures just made it more confusing; how could an alien species develop a culture so similar to theirs?
