Blue saw Red reach out for Chamander and, before Ted even raised the Pokéball, grabbed Squirtle.
"Hey!" Green shouted. "I'm the one that gets second choice!"
"Too bad. I'm taking Squirtle so I have the type advantage against Red." Blue starred at her, daring her to go against him.
"Blue," his grandpa said, "it was Green's turn. Not yours."
"Sorry about that, Green. Would you like Squirtle?"
Blue glared at her. He always planned to have the type advantage against Red, now this prissy little girl was going to get in his way? Just because of a stupid crush?!
"No. I was going to pick Bulbasaur anyway. I just didn't appreciate Blue's rudeness." Green said, glaring at Blue the entire time.
Blue didn't care for her reasoning. He got what he wanted.
Turning to Red, he challenged him to a battle. Red, clearly not happy about how hee was towards Green, accepted.
"Well, I have other things to take care of." Oak announced. "Green, could you be the judge?"
She agreed without a second thought.
Everyone got into position as Oak left. Blue stood on the left side of the training ground. With Red and his useless Charmander opposite. The only attention he payed Green was waiting for her to begin the match.
He saw her raise her arm and ran through what the Pokémon could do. Squitle could only tackle and wag its tail, while Charmander could only bite and growl. As Grandpa Oak warned them, they weren't battle ready yet. So water type attacks were out of the question.
Before he could think any further, Green dropped her arm.
