"We thought we'd go for a walk," says Spencer, and Wyatt doesn't disagree. "Wander around, find the library, the Quad, where the frosh stuff is."
"Sounds good!" replies Dan.
"We should find the gym too," says a fourth voice from behind.
Aiden saunters in with a big smile on his face. You can help but be impressed by his obviously muscular, powerful build lying beneath a thin cotton shirt.
"Hey guys, my names Aiden" he says in a friendly tone
Reaching out his beefy forearm, he shakes everyones hand vigorously and says "Its nice to meet you guys! Ive been looking forward to it."
Spencer was taken aback by Aiden's friendly nature. After all, he had already neatly enforced his prejudice against big muscular guys like him. Maybe Aiden wasn't such a stereotype?
The four guys wandered campus, and with Aiden carrying his workout bag and snacks. After visiting the quad, the student building, seeing other dorms and getting a generally situated, Aiden said: "I'm gonna head off to the gym, you guys want to join me?"
Spencer was sort of surprised by his question, unsure of how to respond. "Sure" overweight Dan said energetically "I need to get on those cardio machines anyway"
"Yeah, ok" Wyatt says cheerfully "You want to show me where you lift?"
"Yeah, no problem, it's a cool gym, actually, I've already been there before I moved in today, it's nice. " Aiden replies
"Ok, cool" Wyatt responds. Spencer stayed quiet for a second.
"You wanna join us Spencer?" Aiden asked in a friendly tone.
"Uh... I don't know if I'm dressed for... " Spencer said hesitantly.
"No problem man, you're in shorts, thats all ya need. Come on, it'll be great"
"OK" Spencer replied reluctantly, headed down with his other roommates to the university gym. After all, Spencer thought, he wouldn't mind hitting the weights this year. Being as tall as he was, bulking up some, getting his arms and chest bigger would be great.
