The creator of this Interactive Story provides this information and guidance:
In ages past, humans and monsters would constantly be at odds with one another. For millennia, both groups would hunt the other for food, or in the case of the humans, for sport. But as the centuries passed, and humans began to spread across the Earth, they began to outnumber monsters. Many species of monster had been driven to extinction by the human's hunts. Eventually, the surviving monsters realized that if they were to avoid being wiped out all together, they would have to come to some sort of arrangement with the human race.

So, a Truce was called. From that day on, Monsters would live among humanity in total secrecy, with only a select few of them aware of their existence. All mention of monsters being real was systematically erased from history, with the vast majority now believing monsters to be nothing more than myths and stories to scare children.

The monster community, which collectively refers to themselves "The Circle, is governed by the Council of Five, with one member from each of the surviving races elected by their own to hold a seat. The Council convene to handle matters that affect the Circle as a whole and to see that the Laws are upheld and enforced. Otherwise, each race is governed within their own communities.

Within the Circle, there are Three Laws that govern the entire community, and all monsters must follow them or face severe consequences. The Laws are as follows...

1. Never expose yourself to a human.

2. Never shed the blood of the innocent.

3. Stick to your own kind.

The Laws are pretty self-explanatory, but even still, some sub-groups have their own interpretations, which inevitably causes problems for the Council and the community as a whole. The surviving races are composed of different species of monsters, each with their own name for themselves.

Nost - More commonly known as vampires. They look like ordinary humans, except for their thirst for blood, regenerative abilities and immense physical strength, among other things. Once a Nost reaches the age of around 25, the aging process halts completely, and they will keep their youthful appearance for the remainder of their immortal lives. Most legends of what can harm a vampire (stakes, garlic, holy water, etc.) Are just myths, with a few exceptions. (Fire, decapitation, and silver.)

Lycanth - Better known as werewolves. Tend to live together in secluded areas, for protection and hunting parties. Can shift between human and beast form at will, no full moon needed. Like the Nost, the legends of silver harming them actually has some truth to it, though it's not exactly understood why. As such, they avoid any objects made of the metal at all costs. You will never see so much as a silver teaspoon in the home of a Lycanth.

Infernals - Better known as demons. Whether in human or their true form, Infernals are the most attractive in appearance of alm Cirlce members. Males are commonly described as (forgive the pun) "devilishly handsome", while females are "hotter than Hell". They are masters of seduction, able to charm even the most stubbornly celibate out of their clothes. Some are known to make pacts with humans to grant their desires, but these deals directly violate the First Law, and as such any Infernal found to have instigated such a contract by the Council is severely punished. Doesn't stop some from trying, though.

Wights - More commonly known as ghouls. If you were to look at one, you wouldn't be able to tell they aren't really human. They look the same in appearance as the average person. But what sets them apart is their diet. Wights have an insatiable hunger for flesh, particularly that of the dead and dying. "The deader the better" as they say. Other than this hunger for rotting meat, they are generally not that different from ordinary humans, and are the weakest of the bunch when it comes to the monster races.

Maji - Better known as Witches, or Warlocks, physically speaking they are for all intents and purposes, human. The big difference is they are born with the ability to channel and control energies commonly known as Magic. With these energies, they can control the elements, manipulate their environment, and various other things beyond the abilities of normal humans.

With the exception of the Infernal and Maji classes, if one of these beings bites an ordinary human, that human will find themselves transforming into the same kind of creature that bit them. As such, biting a human is strictly forbidden. You are about to find yourself as a new member of the Circle, becoming one of the above five classes. Where your story goes from there depends on you.

Have fun.
