Dan arrives in his driveway after quite a long day of work, as he gets out of his car he looks around a smile on his face as he catches a glimpse of his daughter Cassie and son Ian looking through the window with a excited smile on their faces. At least some of his children actually still enjoyed waiting for him to get home.
He holds onto his backpack as he starts to walk towards the door. As he gets to it he opens it to be greeted by his youngest son and daughter. They smile and yell excitedly, "Daddy!" He leans down hugging them both as he notices the excitement on their faces. He remembered when his oldest son and daughter would do the same.
After about a minute he lets go of the hug standing up, "Where is mom along with your siblings?" He asks curiously as Cassie smiles excitedly. "Well mom is in the kitchen making dinner, Kenny is in his room, and Olivia's not home!" She says as Dan sighs to himself giving them a smile before walking away to the kitchen. He was always a bit annoyed by his son staying in his room gaming a lot along with Olivia being the complete opposite and always being out.
He then gets to the kitchen seeing his wife Ellie cutting up some vegetables. He moves behind her with a smile as he taps her shoulder. She sets the knife down turning around with a smile on his face. "Hey darling how was work today?" She asks as Dan sighs with a smile. "It was ok, made a couple of sales and got a weird coin thing as a tip." He says setting his backpack on the table taking out a coin, except it was about 6 inches wide and wasn't like any coin they had seen before. Ellie moves over looking it over curiously before laughing. "Well I mean that probably a fake coin or something, cold try to sell it?"
Dan shrugs as he shoots her a smile, "Well I mean yeah but probably going to wait till weekend as you don't fully know how to bargain and I work most of the early day." He says with a laugh that gets him a look from Ellie. "Ha ha, very funny." She says with a eye roll before going back to the cutting board continuing to cut vegetables. Dan smiles leaving the kitchen making his way to his bedroom. He moves to the bedroom slipping his jacket off hanging it up as he sets his backpack down. He then looks over the coin once again with a confused shrug as he sets it down on the bed. He would check it out more later.
He smiles to himself as he makes his way out of the bedroom walking back to the kitchen. As he walks he passes by his son room seeing him on his computer distracted playing on it. He sighs to himself continuing his walk as he gets to the kitchen watching as his wife finishes the cutting throwing the veggies into the pot along with most likely a meat in it already. He moves towards her crossing his arms, "So how long is Olivia going to be gone today? Is she going to miss dinner again?" He asks a bit annoyed as Ellie sighs turning around hugging him. "She'll be back a little bit after dinner sweetie don't worry."
He sighs to himself as he moves over to the dining room deciding to start setting the table as Ellie comes over to help assist him. As they continue to prep dinner the youngest siblings come in early to sit at the table. As dinner finishes finally their older son Kenny comes down after they call for him. After a quick dinner, Ellie along with Dan clean up as the youngest siblings continue to play and Kenny goes back to his computer. Though someone decided to check the coin out.
