The Fire type. Full of Pokemon known to burn bright, this is the type for you if you want to make a scene. Plus, they are excellent to have around on a cold night. Downside is that many tend to be actively on fire or hot enough to give third degree burns at the slightest touch. And don't get me started with the calories they burn daily.
Without further ado, let us meet our intrepid humans-turned-Pokemon who have a world to save.
Laura-Waking collapsed on some sand, Laura the Fuecoco finds herself in a pickle (if a somewhat familiar one to PMD protagonists). She's found herself in the middle of a desert oasis with no idea how she got here and no real memories. Aside from her name and the near certainty that she should be a human, not a dopey little fire lizard that looks a lot like a chili pepper.
Dr. Penny Dendelver-Dr. Penny- and do remember the title- has made the breakthrough of the century. No, millennium! She has succeeded in creating a device to travel to other worlds! Unfortunately, an error in her device resulted in it never opening a way back to her world, so now she's stuck in this world. Worse still, in this world, humans do not and cannot exist. Thus, Dr. Penny was transformed into a Chimchar to meet this world's rules. At least she still has hands.
Old Benjamin-Ben has lived a long life. Seen young trainers come and go. Watched the rise and fall of island kahunas. Even the instatement of the first Alolan champion. But old Benjamin? He's always been content with his berry farm. At least, until a weird portal open up in the middle of his farm. When he went to take a look, a strange black hand grabbed him and pulled him in! He's not sure what it was or what happened next, but now he's found himself lying on the grass in the middle of somewhere that definitely isn't Alola. Best figure out where he is... Once the human-turned-Torkoal manages to get off his back.
Simon Ordevaunt-Unlike most PMD protagonists, Simon has already been in the Pokemon world for some time. Unfortunately, he got turned into a Salandit and, just like any other male of his new species, found himself hopelessly enthralled by his Salazzle matriarch. At least, it was hopeless. Recently, he was sent on a mission by his Salazzle to act as a representative to the local town. The clear air has cleared his head, finally giving him a chance to escape and get help. The question is if that help is enough to save him.
Which unsuspecting hero (or soon to be failure of a hero) will our story be following?
