You take a deep breath. It's hard to concentrate after everything you've just seen. The aliens in front of you look so real, especially the look of pleading desperation on their faces. The interface on the command deck of your ship does as well. Even the solid ground below does, too. You can move around the deck. You can feel the metal walls and even the glass window. It's far more lucid than any dream you've ever had.
But you know it can't possibly be. There's a chain on your wrist leading light-years out to a creature that's bigger than galaxies! He may be bigger than you, but he's not that big. Not really. In the real world, you're trapped in the jar, probably zonked out of your mind like the others who lost. You're his plaything, and this is all a game to him.
Yeah. This is all fake. You don't have to feel bad about what happens to these aliens, just like you don't have to feel bad about the hundreds of planets you supposedly ordered him to devour...or the celestial bodies that evaporate whenever he moves a wing.
As if on cue, your supposed 'sub' sneezes, dispersing nearby nebulae.
"Sorry," He says, sniffling. "Did you think something? I wasn't paying attention"
Wait. If he can hear your thoughts--how much can he actually hear? Does he know exactly what's on your mind at any moment?
"Don't worry about that too much. I'll only pry when it's important. Anyway, just tell me what to do, master~."
There's no point in denying him. If you do, you'll just end up in his gut in real life, or trapped in this weird space scenario forever.
"Uh," You think, trying to turn away from the look of desperation on the fake aliens' faces. "S-Send them back to their loved ones...pet."
The bat stifles a chuckle at your comment before quickly getting back into character. "As you command, my master. It's only fitting that we reunite these miserable little specks with their families, becoming one with something far greater than they ever could be."
The people--fake aliens. not real--look at you in despair as they slowly slide off by an unseen force. They're sent flying back into the void of space, flailing around desperately as they spin about helplessly. How in the world...universe...is that giant bat supposed to eat these things without eating you as well?
You get your answer fast. Out from the side of the window, you see smaller versions of the bat appear. Smaller is somehow an understatement and overstatement all at the same time. They're hardly as big as the original galaxy-spanning bat, but they're still giants compared to the poor, desperate aliens. They don't have a chastity belt like their larger counterpart has, but you don't see any genitals on them.
The lesser bats swim across space with ease while their prey can only wade helplessly. They make a game of devouring the poor aliens, spinning and flipping about to put on a show for you. Terror fills the victims' eyes as they thrash about, but there's nothing they can do.
One by one, those poor aliens disappear, taken into the guts of dozens of ravenous bats. Even among these 'minions', there's still differences in size between them. Some of the larger bats need only soar through space with their mouths open to completely consume their prey. Other smaller ones snatch onto their prey and slowly chomp on them. You glance to the side just in time to spot two of the bats back up on a poor alien, slamming her in-between their two rears.
Though they try their best to struggle, the aliens stand no chance against the swarm. The bats leave as quickly as they came, returning to the greater bat with full, squirming bellies.
Save for one, about five times as big as you are. He plants himself on the window, showing off his distended belly for you. The alien he consumed thrashes about inside, making small bulges appear here and there.
"Oh wow. He's a squirmer." The bat says, licking his lips and showing off his fangs. "Took a bit of effort to get him down. I might let him out just to eat him again~."
"A-Are you going to...?"
You can't finish the sentence, but the bat is more than happy to.
"Melt him down? Of course! Not for a while, though. He's just going to storage. I've eaten so many that It's going to be a few decades before he finally adds to my hips."
Your mind swirls at the implication. You shake your head, silently repeating the mantra to yourself that this is all just a hypnosis-induced dream.
"Now that those pesky little bugs were dealt with, I think it's time we got back to work. We have a long day ahead of us~. Sort of. Since we're-"
He lets out a loud burp. Despite being in the void of space, you can somehow still hear it.
"Well, you get it."
With that, the bat flies off. The god-bat in your rear-view lies back casually, somehow staring at your minuscule self expectantly from so far away. You let out an exasperated sigh. You were in a ship you hardly knew how to pilot, but you had a sneaking suspicion that you could just press a bunch of random buttons and the bat will retroactively have them do whatever you want them to.
Oddly, this scenario leaves you with a lot of power. You might get out of this jar after all. You don't know how exactly you can 'win' this game the bat created for you, but playing along seemed like the best plan. What could you have him do, exactly?
