Remembering the bat’s rules and how a death here would lead to a one way trip down his stomach, you decide to pull at the chain. If he kept to his word about the setting, this behemoth should be your sub— the least he can do is save you from them.
A single pull manages to get him to start to lazily move around his limbs, causing damage at scale you don’t even want to begin to imagine. Regardless, it seems to work and the guys that wanted to hurt you keep firing with even more determination.
“Why! Why won’t they hit!?”
You begin to distinguish several more emotions in their exchanged communications, more than just anger, the bat’s awakening seems to have stirred an incredible fear and panic… understandable.
‘Master, did you call for me?’ You hear the bat’s voice in your head, though now it had a more feminine tone to it.
‘Some people are attacking me! Can you help?’ You hope that he can pick up your thoughts as a means of communications.
‘Attacking master!? Who would be so stupid? Your ship is nearly invincible are they stupid?’
His response does make you feel terribly guilty. If your ship was in fact as durable as he claimed then you may have sentenced them to a terrible fate.
‘Oh well, an inconvenience for master is an inconvenience for me.’
At the same time, your ship kept on picking the coms of the other ship and the voices of the crew had grown to a near state of mania.
“Men! Men your pills! Take your pills before he come for—“
Before the voice could finish giving the command, the bat had disappeared from the feed of your rear cameras, but you didn’t have to ponder about his location for even a moment.
Right in front of your window, you see an eye endlessly stretch out in all directions, with its iris squarely looking in your direction. Well it was also probably looking at the other spaceship and a lot more things than that.
‘You nobodies have the audacity to even think of harming my master? Are you— Oh hey these guys are from the planet you told me to eat the other day. How are you alive? Were you part of a space mission or something?
‘Actually don't answer, it’s not like I care really.’ His eyes had started to shine a bright shade of green and a moment later, the other ship came into your view, enveloped in a green aura of the same hue.
Then several figures fly out of the ship and are pressed against the window of your ship. You can see the terror and sheer agony in the faces of these aliens, before a dreadful force also crushes the ship they were on moments ago into a tiny shapeless lump of steel.
‘What do you think I should do with them master? They probably came here seeking revenge. Should I reunite them with their loved ones?’
