Two black bolts of lighting shot at the demons, but missed due to them moving quickly away.
Looking to where the strikes had come from, the three saw a young woman with hair that flowed barely past her shoulders and clouded green eyes. She wore body armour that you'd normally see on a knight, along with a surprisingly beautiful black cloak. In her hand was a one handed sword with a small crystal orb built into the handle.
Steeping in front of the tired berserker, she stared down the two demons.
"If you want to harm her, you'll have to go through me." she announced with a death glare.
Dante glared back at her with frustration.
"It seems she has no intrest in me." he declared.
"Then I'll have her to myself, you can have the other." Beatrice stated with satisfaction.
"I have a better idea." the stranger said as she flipped the sword so the blade was now parallel with her arm. The crystal seemed to be emitting heat.
"As a wizard once told me, 'When in doubt, Fireball!'" She pointed the crystal towards them and a miniature sun emerged, setting both demons on fire.
"Come on!"
The two women made a run for it while they could.
After several minutes, they slowed down and began catching their breath. With the danger past, the stranger introduced herself as Sirena, a simple farmer who went off to become an adventurer like her parents were.
"Well, thanks for the help. I'm Samson."
Sirena looked at her with a confused look.
"Before you showed up, I was a guy." she stated, looking at her bare breasts and wondering if this was permanent.
"Well, how about Samdottir in the meantime? I knew someone called that once. Nice gal."
Though she preferred her birth name, Samdottir admitted the name change would make sense.
After getting their breath back, Sirena and Samdottir headed out. While her bastard sword was a pain to use (or even carry) in this new body, she was glad that she had little trouble using telekinesis to keep it secured to her back.
