“Nhaaaa … Why won’t these dumb pants fit?!” Nanachi complained. This was a problem that had been getting worse for the past few days, but today was the day it became totally unsolvable. The pants just wouldn’t budge, no matter how she squeezed or pulled or waggled her tail or tried to suck in her gut. Wait a minute … Her gut? But she thought she was flat as a board … Small and lithe, like a forest sprite! Forest sprite was definitely the way she would describe her appearance these days.
With some trepidation, Nanachi’s delicate fingers probed her midsection, leaving her stubborn pants stuck around her thighs. She found her fuzzy middle seemed substantially thicker than normal … And softer, too. Her hands moved curiously down to her low-riding hips and haunches, usually already buxom, but now seemingly swelled to cushy new proportions. Nanachi continued her careful exploration, reaching around behind herself and feeling up her soft tail … Had that gotten thicker, as well? She made a startling discovery when she reached her rear; for the first time in her life as a Hollow, there was a distinct cleft between her furry buttocks.
She felt the warmth rush to her cheeks, blushing partly out of embarrassment and partly out of wonder as she gently pushed her small hands into the new cushioning around her widened flanks. “M-maybe I’ve been eatin’ too many Riko Bombs,” Nanachi thought sheepishly, her long ears flopping over. Food had always been an issue when she was hunting and gathering for herself, but ever since Reg and Riko arrived, delicious meals were in plentiful supply. “I-I hope nobody notices,” she thought further. Despite the worry, she didn’t think anyone would. She specifically preferred to change clothes out back behind the shelter where her new friends wouldn’t see her. She was self-conscious enough as it was, and this revelation of hers here in the tall grass surely wouldn’t help.
