The name for the curse is Tagyan Ahyliba, which literally means “Moon Wolf Change.” The name for the curse is from an ancient language that predates the Kingdom by millennia.

Those who are cursed with Tagyan Ahyliba turn into a huge wolf three or four nights a year, when the full moon nearly coincides with perigee—the closest that the moon comes to the world in its orbit. The curse lasts from moonrise to moonset, during which time the Accursed becomes an uncontrollable, ravenous beast.

You discover you have one of the bloodlines that is cursed with Tagyan Ahyliba. Shortly before your nineteenth birthday, you change into a wolf and go on a rampage in a nearby forest. Fortunately, no people were injured.

Your grandfather is the lycanthrope you encounter the next day, who explains to you that the curse sometimes falls on some of the men of his family. He was hoping it would skip you, but such was not the case.

There are some advantages to the curse. All your senses feel unusually heightened. But that doesn’t offset the total loss of control you suffer three or four nights a year.

Your grandfather has some good news, however. He has spent a lifetime studying Tagyan Ahyliba, and there may be a way for you to lift the curse, not only from yourself, but also from your bloodline.

If a cure does exist for Tagyan Ahyliba, it can only be found somewhere to the lands ___________ of the Kingdom, and you must discover it before your twenty-fifth birthday.
