About a hundred miles east of Phesia, a port city on the Great Sea, lies the small town of Collinth. Collinth doesn’t have much to recommend it. It has two taverns and one inn. Since Collinth is on the Royal Highway that runs between Phesia and the main pass in the Kingdom’s Eastern mountain range, it has stables and lodgings for the Royal Messenger Corps, as well as a small garrison of ten soldiers.
Mostly Collinth is a market town for the local farmers. It does have two temples, though. One is dedicated to Yondeer, god of farming. The other is dedicated to Anakara, goddess of twilight.
You grew up on one of the local farms. Three years ago, at the age of fifteen, you began training as a priestess of Anakara. You are one of two priestesses at the temple. In a couple of decades, you’ll be senior priestess at the temple, with your own junior priestess to train.
That plan vanished when your cousin showed up one day. Tanithy is what is known as a Channeler. She is bound to a celestial being named Tikala, who serves as a chief steward in the court of Anakara. Tikala is the source of your cousin’s spellcasting ability.
Tikala is also acting as a conduit for a message from Anakara to you.
Your goddess wants you to find and recover the Tome of Exaltation. Nobody knows exactly what the book does, but the last time it was in the world, it caused strife between different temples, and even a brief civil war on the celestial plane.
And your goddess wants you to find it.
You are to lead a party on this quest. The part will consist of you, your cousin and four novice
