The Bayata are natural explorers, wanting to check out every little corner of the world. Their scribes are no different. They love to explore the world and pick up spells along the way.

You come from a long line of scribes who settled in Bantul because Bantul likes to think of itself as the cultural capital of the known world. And it does seem as if all of the known world travels to Bantul at some time or another. So in many ways, living in Bantul means you have the luxury of exploring the world without ever having to leave home.

Still, even a Bayata living in Bantul feels the need once in a while to go out into the world, rather than have the world come to her.
