Our tale of Regression in this Familiar yet Magical version of our world is:

A. Benefits of Elven Blood
Our protagonist is an Elf or at least has Elven ancestry. Because of this they mature a bit slower than their peers, you know that Elven youthfulness and longevity and all. However while some would angst over this, our protagonist actually enjoys that their body hasn't grown up as fast.

B. Magical Punishment
Because Magic is a thing, our protagonist finds themselves facing a mystical punishment of regression for doing something.

C. Adventures in Witch-Sitting
You have to be really careful when babysitting kids with magical powers and/or access to their parents magical stuff, otherwise the tables might end up turned
