Chapter #6

A Hungry Cat...

Your only response is another mewl followed by it rolling upside down to bat at your sweatshirt drawstrings.
Well, that isn't a no I guess.
It doesn't resist once you start walking again, which you take as a good sign.
You manage to make it to the corner before the next interruption gives you pause.
Very distinctly behind the purring, you heard the cat's stomach growl.
It wasn't the volume you'd expect from such a tiny thing either. It was far louder, stronger.
Despite being so much larger than it, it fills you with a primal sense of dread that weighs you in place.
You try and fail to smile at it again as those wide eyes turn to your own. It flips back onto its feet and stares right at you from the cradle of your crossed arms.
Just staring.

Then without warning it jumps from your arms to your shoulder, to the top of your head using it as a springboard to leap high into the air, landing a few paces ahead of you with its tail raised.
You flinched pretty hard when it moved so suddenly, and you scold yourself for being so foolish. It's just a cat.

Said feline turns toward you with a decently large bird of some sort in its mouth, head firmly in its jaws and wings pinned at the shoulder.
It trots up to you proud as can be, you can hear the alarmed caws once it gets closer.
You continue to, as your furry companion swallows it whole in seconds.

The bird was larger than the cat, black feathers and body gave it away as a crow or raven. (You weren't very knowledgeable on birds)
With its catch firmly stored in its greatly overstuffed belly it somehow jumps into your arms once more, not at all impeded by its gravid form.
It hardly feels any heavier either, even as you feel the corvid thrashing under the skin through even greater purring.
It settles in, eyes closed, lazily enjoying its meal while it awaits your next move.

You have the following choices:

1. That was...

*Noteb*
2. Freaky.

*Noteb*
3. But kinda cool too.

*Noteb*
4. Is it too late to run away?

*Noteb*
5. More Options

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
